Fall Prevention

According to the Center for Disease Control, 60% of falls happen in the home. The CDC notes that older adults can reduce the risk of falls through:

  • Education about fall risk factors
  • Referrals to community exercise programs to increase strength and balance
  • Medication review, and
  • Home modifications to reduce fall hazards
